Linux Terminal Mode Keypresses - Alien Invasion? Can I find here worthy man

Has anyone else experienced their Linux terminal keypresses behaving like extraterrestrial Morse code during headless operation? This unusual phenomenon is causing quite a ruckus in my current project. Any insights on potential causes or solutions would be greatly appreciated!
